Lovecake/kärleksmums
Ingrediens
225 g butter
2 dl milk
5 eggs
4½ dl of sugar
1½ tablespoons of vanilla sugar
1¼ dl of cacao
3 teaspoons of baking
soda
6 dl flour
Icing
75 g of butter
1 1/3 dl of coffee
1½ dl of cacao
1½ msk of vanilla sugar
5 dl of powdered sugar
Preheat the oven to 175º. Spread some butter around a baking pan with the
dimensions of approximately 30x40 centimeters.
Melt the butter, and pour the milk into the butter,
and then let it cool off. Whisk the eggs and sugar until it becomes puffy, preferably
with an electric whisk. Pour the vanilla sugar, cacao, baking soda and the
flour through a strainer into the eggs and sugar.
Now pour the milk and eggs into the batter and then
pour it into your baking pan. Put it in the middle of your oven for 20 minutes.
For the icing, melt the butter into a cooking pot, add
coffee, cacao, vanilla sugar and powdered sugar and blend it well. Take the
cake out of the oven and let it rest for a while. Spread the icing all over the
warm cake. Sprinkle coconut flakes on top if the icing.
Comparison between my
instructions and an English one:
I said “whisk the eggs and sugar until it becomes
puffy” while the online ones said “whisk the eggs and sugar until it becomes
light and fluffy”, which probably is a better description.
The English one is also more detailed, for example, in
the English one it said “carefully add flour” while in the Swedish one it just
said add flour.
Since the English one doesn’t contain the exact same
things, the steps were a little bit different, the English recipe separated the
“Pour the vanilla sugar, cacao, baking soda and the flour” into two parts,
since the English recipe contains water.
Another thing is that they used both whisk and stir, whereas I used whisk only.
